RENTAL OF SIMULTANEOUS TRANSLATION EQUIPMENT FOR THE U.E.
The Union for the Mediterranean UFM, an organization that is part of the European Union-, met at the Palau de Pedralbes with assistants from more than 30 different nationalities and where the simultaneous translation system was crucial for its proper development .
RENTAL OF SIMULTANEOUS TRANSLATION EQUIPMENT FOR THE EVENT
In order to face the challenge, we made the rental of five translation booths approved by the European Union – ISO4041-, and a Bosch NG integral digital system composed of bosch digital desks for translators, bosch ng digital transmitters, cameras and bosch ng digital receivers of the latest generation .
The simultaneous translation booths could be placed in the main room – necessary for translators to have direct vision of the delegates – thanks to the 3D study of the space we did previously and to reinforce the vision of the delegates.
The rental of Bosch NG series desktop conference microphones had a double function, the own and main one of the microphones -capturing the audio-, and a secondary one as receivers, since we configured them so that the audio of the translation could be heard from the same terminal. This is possible because they are digital and the user can choose which language he wants to hear the translation in. This way, we avoided the extra-cost of the receivers. Even having made such a configuration receivers were for the attendees without the right to intervene in the meeting, they were seated behind the assistants and needed the receivers.
Not only did we install the integral system of simultaneous translation with the booths, desks, microphones and receivers, but we also did the technical service for an internal camera system that sent the image signal to the monitors installed in the simultaneous translation booths.
For the audiovisual part we rented the sound equipment and provided a projection system in the meeting room as well as reinforcement monitors on the sides of the space so that no attendee would miss the content of the presentations.
